The History and Importance of Wesak

Wesak, or Buddha’s Birthday, is the Spiritual New Year for light workers and world servers. In the esoteric teachings, this sacred full moon always occurs when the sun is in Taurus and the moon is full in Scorpio.

Globally, spiritual people gather in person, virtually, and in the ethers to celebrate the opportunity to come before the Planetary Logos, the Buddha, and the Christ for blessings. The original Wesak Ceremony began in Western Tibet. Pilgrims journeyed for many miles to be in the presence of the Three Great Ones.

Lord Buddha is well known for having been born, died, and enlightened on the same day. When Buddha materializes, the pilgrims prostrate themselves in honor of his presence. This holy Wesak gathering still occurs in Tibet.

Spiritual New Year is an opportunity to devote oneself to service. This may be to humanity, the animal kingdom, the plant kingdom, the mineral kingdom, or the angelic kingdom. One asks the Planetary Logos for guidance to serve the highest good. Sanat Kumara offers a powerful blessing. Lord Buddha and Christ also offer blessings and guidance.
